Judith Harmony
Tempe, AZ
Judith Harmony's extensive travels to China, Tibet, Viet Nam
and other locations in the Asian Pacific have greatly influenced
her work in shape, color and surface design.
Her Kimono series using beads, bone and other surface design
objects continues, with her latest Kimono embellishments techniques
including wire mesh and other metals. In addition, Harmony has an
impressive collection of Asian hand woven fabrics, which are integral
to each specific design.
Harmony has also successfully experimented with natural leather
wall-hangings, which is combined with her love of dark earth colors.
Exhibiting since 1997, Harmony is an instructor of creative sewing,
machine embroidery, quilting and beading, and is a member of the
Arizona Designer Craftsmen - Fiber Connection and the Mavericks
contemporary art quilt group.
