Barb Wills

Fiber artist and surface designer Barb Wills came to contemporary
art quilting from her work as an engineer in the Semiconductor industry.
The grids, lines and spacing of semiconductor chip layout finds its
way into each piece she creates, in her attempt to speak to the
viewer through the structure of the work, the colors and the
overlaid pattern.
"Fiber art has allowed me to use what I have learned technically
and apply it in a dynamic and creative manner into my art."
A founding member of the Main Street Mavericks, a contemporary
art quilt group, Wills also belongs to the Arizona Designer
Craftsmen and Surface Design Association, and has exhibited
in galleries and museums in Illinois, Ohio and Arizona.
